In the footsteps of our ancestors !
The Grotte du Déroc is truly fascinating. Like the nearby Grotte Chauvet, it has been occupied by man but also by bears, lions and hyenas. Annex galleries, a huge room, three different entrances to discover, and the ‘letterbox’ passage - you’ll feel like a real explorer!

The meeting point is at the car park after the bridge over the Ibie just outside Vallon-Pont-d’Arc (07150)
Take the D290 out of Vallon towards the Gorges de l’Ardeche. The car park is on the left after the bridge and before the Camping de l’Ile. Bring comfortable clothes appropriate for temperatures of 13ºC that you don’t mind getting dirty, and a change for afterwards, plus water and cereal bars or other snacks.

- To bring: Comfortable clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty (NB, temperature in the cave is 13ºC) and a change of clothes for afterwards, plus water.

Our suggestion… : Bring a towel and your swimsuit and end the excursion with a dip at the secret bathing spot near the cave !
